Cedar View at Redbank Plains

Last opportunity to buy in popular Cedar View estate

24 January 2008

Only a handful of lots remain at Devine Communities’ popular Cedar View estate in Redbank Plains, following the release of the final land stage earlier this month.

Overwhelming home buyer demand has resulted in the sale of 32 lots since the first week of January - leaving only 13 remaining for sale.

The masterplanned community, which features a 3.2 hectare parkland at the heart of the estate, has achieved strong sales results since it was first launched in December 2006.

Queensland General Manager of Devine Communities and Devine Homes, Paul Nash, said a key attraction for home buyers was the estate’s convenient location and proximity to major services and infrastructure.

“Redbank Plains is an emerging growth corridor between the major regions of Springfield, Ripley and the business node of Swanbank,” Mr Nash said.

“It is only 28 kilometres south-west of the Brisbane GPO and nine kilometres east of the Ipswich GPO.

“The emergence of significant retail, transport and education infrastructure has been a major drawcard for home buyers to the region.

“The proposed community is close to all major amenities including Redbank Plaza, the $600 million Orion Town shopping centre which opened in March last year, and the expanding Swanbank business park.”

It is also close to the Springfield campus of the University of Southern Queensland, the Bremer Institute of TAFE and is less than five minutes from the existing Redbank primary and secondary schools.

Mr Nash said residents are well serviced by road and rail infrastructure, including good access to the Centenary Highway and the Goodna Railway Station, which provides frequent services to the Brisbane CBD and Ipswich City.

In addition to these existing services, the extension of the Western Freeway is currently under construction and will extend the freeway from Springfield to Amberley. This is scheduled for completion in late 2008.

Lots at Cedar View estate range in size from 392 square metres to 778 square metres.

Quality home and land packages, featuring Devine’s new designer range of homes including stainless steel appliances, start from only $328,900.

Mr Nash said Devine’s new in-house design centre, Design Edge, has developed a collection of new home designs which can be tailored to suit each home buyer’s price range and lifestyle – without sacrificing original design and quality.

“Within each family of home models there are four to nine design variations, façade treatments and levels of inclusions, giving families a choice of more than 100 floor plans and price points,” Mr Nash said.

“The end result is a home design that combines consistency of quality with individual design to deliver a modern, fresh appeal.”

One of the new home designs – the Glenelg 220 – is on display at Cedar View and will be auctioned on Australia Day (26 January) to raise funds as part of the Lady Mayoress’ Youth In Need Australia Day Auction.

The three bedroom contemporary home offers 220.56 square metres of living space on 601 square metres of land and features a $20,000 suite of designer inclusions, including Technika stainless steel appliances, turf, a front garden and fencing.

The 5-star energy rating home also features a stencilled and coloured concrete drive, a lock up garage with access to the rear yard, a reverse cycle air conditioning unit and an installed rainwater tank.
